INTERVALLO, JOURNAL DURING PANDEMIA LOCKDOWN
VIDEO-INTERVIEW FORMAT
INTERVALLO is a virtual meeting place born in Italy during the lockdown period (March 2020) following the Coronavirus pandemic that spread worldwide, in a unique, unexpected situation of “suspended time,” unprecedented globally.
The Intervallo format was born from an idea by Giulio Vinaccia, shared with Philippe Casens, Imke Plinta, and Patrizia Scarzella, with the aim of building a mosaic of hypotheses on the paradigm shifts that will presumably alter the landscape of our work.
It took shape as a private Facebook group to share video interviews that each of the four authors conducted with people from the international design community and beyond, along with reflections and thoughts on the changes and effects that the current situation will have on each person’s professional life.
The video interview format was structured around three basic questions: What is changing? What would you like to see change? Has your value system changed?
